Job Title: Digital Art Director
Description: The Digital Art Director oversees the visual strategy and aesthetic execution of all digital projects within the agency. This role controls the transition of conceptual ideas into high-performing visual systems, managing a team of designers and multimedia artists.
Responsibility includes maintaining brand consistency across diverse digital platforms and establishing high standards for visual design, typography, and UI/UX. The Art Director influences the creative direction of major campaigns and owns the final output for all visual assets. Impact is measured by the visual quality of agency work, the efficiency of the creative department, and the alignment of visual strategies with client business objectives. This is a leadership-by-execution role focused on operational excellence in design.
Roles / Tasks:
* Lead the visual direction for multi-channel digital marketing campaigns.
* Oversee the design and execution of websites, landing pages, and mobile interfaces.
* Review and approve all creative assets to verify alignment with brand guidelines.
* Manage and mentor junior and mid-level designers on design principles and tools.
* Develop comprehensive style guides and design systems for client brands.
* Translate creative briefs into visual concepts and production-ready designs.
* Collaborate with copywriters to sync visual and verbal brand messaging.
* Present design concepts and visual strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
* Monitor the creative department’s workflow to meet project deadlines.
* Conduct design critiques and provide actionable feedback to the creative team.
* Oversee the integration of motion and static design within campaign frameworks.
* Research and implement new design technologies and software within the agency.
* Manage the quality of photography and video production for creative projects.
* Troubleshoot design-related issues during the development phase of web projects.
* Report on creative department output and resource utilization to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
* 7+ years of design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
* Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
* Deep understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive web design.
* Portfolio showcasing high-level art direction across multiple digital platforms.
* Experience in branding, typography, and visual identity systems.
* Proven ability to manage a team of at least 3 designers.
* Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field.
